Sexual Harassment Awareness Training

This training provides staff with a clear understanding of what sexual harassment is, how to recognise it, and how to respond appropriately in the workplace.

Working in care often involves close contact with clients, families, and colleagues. It is essential that all staff understand their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment at all times.

This training supports Quality Care Time’s commitment to safeguarding, staff wellbeing, and delivering care in line with CQC standards and the Equality Act 2010.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what sexual harassment is under the Equality Act 2010

  • Recognise different types of inappropriate behaviour, including verbal, non-verbal, and physical conduct

  • Identify situations where sexual harassment may occur, including within clients’ homes

  • Understand that harassment can come from colleagues, managers, clients, or family members

  • Know what to do if they experience or witness sexual harassment

  • Follow the correct reporting procedures, including documenting incidents accurately

  • Understand the importance of speaking up and not ignoring concerns

  • Recognise the role of the employer in preventing harassment and taking action
